Falmouth, Maine hometown hero and basketball star, Ryan Rogers was a four-year varsity player and senior team captain of the 2010 Class B State Championship squad. He continued to play basketball during a post-grad year at Bridgton Academy and collegiately at Salve Regina. Five years ago, Rogers was diagnosed with a Stage 2 Astrocytoma Brain Tumor. With the power of family & friends and his unwavering competitive spirit, Ryan beat brain cancer in nearly nine months. Now as a current Assistant Coach for the St. Joseph's Maine Men's Basketball team, Ryan was recently notified that his brain cancer is back as a Stage Four Glioblastoma. Ryan just started his second fight against brain cancer this fall and will need to fight even harder than he did five years ago.
As a lifelong athlete, coach, and individual dedicated to competing, Ryan needs our positivity, love, and strength through this battle & to push to find a cure for this horrible disease. Please take a moment to donate to support Ryan and his family.
Ryan has an inspiring selfless mentality throughout all of this and wanted to start fundraising to find a cure and ensure no one else has to experience what he is going through. All proceeds fundraised on this Giving Page will directly support Dana Farber's Center of Neuro-Oncology research and clinical trials.
