Anyone who knows our Mom knows that nothing is more important to her than her family and her friends. She has been the caretaker and confidant for many of her family and friends during her 60 (!) years. We know the only thing she wants for her birthday is to be surrounded by her family and friends, but unfortunately, COVID. I'm sure 2022 will be the "year of Susan" (or "Festival of Susan Part II"), but for now, to celebrate her birthday, we are asking for donations to one of the causes near and dear to her heart.
All donations will be directed to the Gould Family Fund for Prostate Cancer at Dana Farber. This funds research led by Anthony V. D'Amico, MD, PhD. Dr. D’Amico, is the Chief of the Division of Genitourinary Radiation Oncology and Professor of Radiation Oncology at Harvard Medical School. Dr. D’Amico has focused on making an impact in reducing recurrence and death following a prostate cancer diagnosis through innovations in treatments in the setting of international clinical trials. In addition, Dr. D’Amico is addressing the growing issue of burnout both in the workplace and at home that health care professionals are increasingly experiencing during training and later as a practicing physician.
