Yesterday Lucia Brower passed away after a lengthy battle with gastric cancer. This was an incredibly difficult journey for Lucia and her family, but through it all, she inspired us with her positivity, her strength, and her unwavering spirit. Lucia received treatment at Dana Farber, and we were amazed by the level of care she received, though gastric cancer is a notoriously difficult form of cancer to treat. There is currently some very promising research being done in immunotherapy, and this could open real possibilities for individuals and families impacted by cancer. True to form, Lucia directed her energy to the positive: hope and advocating for cancer research. Today, in Lucia’s memory, we encourage you to donate to The Jimmy Fund.
