12 years ago my cousin Kristen Harris (my first best friend) lost her 15 year battle with cancer. She was 30 years old. Kristen was first diagnosed with cancer when she was just 15. With help to the great work at Dana Farber, Kristen was able to beat the odds of cancer this first time around.
Through the years Kristen had some set backs, losing a lung and a kidney along her way. She was able to be healthy enough in her mid twenties to become an x ray technician at Bay State, get married and give birth to Lexi Ferraro.
June 18th 2010, Kristen lost her long, off and on battle with cancer.
Because of the great people at Dana Farber, Kristen was able to live healthy and long enough to have brought into Lexi who will keep the world reminded of how special Kristen Laura Harris is!
I am participating in the 2022 Jimmy Fund Little League program to help strike out cancer.
