Hi everyone!
For the first time, I am participating in the 2021 Jimmy Fund Little League program to help strike out cancer!
I've been playing baseball with Lynnfield Little League since I was 5 years old - I started with Tee Ball in the Spring of 2014!
My Saba (grandfather in Hebrew), LOVED baseball. His favorite players were Hank Aaron and Ted Williams. He was a Red Sox fan. He loved watching baseball and going to games at Fenway Park.
Do you know what is extra special? My Saba was actually a part of Lynnfield Little League...he coached my Uncle Marc when he was my age, back in the 1980's!
My Saba passed away in June of 2014, from Melanoma, right after I started playing baseball. He never got to see me play. If he were here, my mom says he would have been right there beside her helping to coach me on the field! I would have loved that!
When you donate to me and my team, you're directly supporting Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
Dana-Farber is dedicated to a unique and equal balance between cancer research and care, translating the results of discovery into new treatments for patients locally and around the world.
My Lynnfield Little League friends and I are raising money to make a difference in the fight against cancer - so that no one has to lose their Saba like I did. I'm am fundraising in memory of my Saba.
Cancer is the other team and we not only want to beat that other team, but we want to get as many home-runs as we can!
Thank you in advance for your support. Together, we can STRIKE OUT CANCER!
Ephram
