As many of you know, our daughter Taylor was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in January of 2017. She completed treatment in March 2019 and is in full remission. Ironically, a good friend of ours, Charlotte Casgar, had the same experience seven years prior. Both girls received life-saving treatment at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute/Jimmy Fund Clinic. We are thankful every day for the care we received at JFC. The doctors and nurses are true angels. They treat your child and siblings so very special and make an unbearable experience somewhat tolerable for the children and their families. We want to continue to support the Jimmy Fund Clinic so other children (and adults) can be as lucky as ours and be cured.
We also have many family members and friends that have been affected by cancer. It seems each year more and more people are touched by this terrible illness. It all around us. If we can do any little bit to support the Jimmy Fund Walk and make the smallest difference in the cancer world, we are in. We hope you are too!
On Sunday, September 22, Team Taylor and Charlotte will walk 13.1 miles from Wellesley to Boston and we would love to have you join us! This year, we are asking that everyone invite one or two (or as many as you like) friends to walk with us. The more the merrier.
Your support goes directly to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s unique 50-50 balance between cutting-edge science and highly compassionate care. Funds raised through the Jimmy Fund Walk enable Dana-Farber leaders to enhance programs and initiatives that serve pediatric and adult patients and their
families.
