The Leonard P. Zakim Center for Integrative Therapies and Healthy Living at Dana-Farber was established 20 years ago in memory of Lenny Zakim, activist and cancer patient. The Zakim Center is dedicated to treating the mind, body, and spirit of cancer patients to enhance their quality of life through integrative therapies such as acupuncture and massage, and healthy living programs such as exercise and nutritional counseling.
Since COVID-19, the staff, therapists, and physicians at the Zakim Center have worked collaboratively to pivot several programs into virtual offerings. Virtual programs have provided a space for cancer patients to remain connected with the Zakim Center community while participating in sessions remotely. While this unprecedented time has called for many adjustments, connecting with patients virtually has provided an incredible opportunity to now meet with patients across the country, expanding the center's ability to meet patients where they are.
Your donations and support helps to keep these vital program offerings. Thank you so very much!
