Our team this year is participating in the Boston Marathon- Jimmy Fund Walk.  We will be walking in efforts and donations to raise money for the Dana Farber Cancer Research Hospital.  We walk for cancer research to benefit kids and people like Liv.  Last year Liv was diagnosed with Anaplastic Ependymoma (cancer of the central nervous system).  Liv was 9 years old when diagnosed and underwent brain surgery to remove a tumor located in her brain.  Followed by 6 weeks of proton beam radiation.  Today, Liv is in remission.  She has MRI’s with contrast every three months to detect any new cancer growth.  15 months out of surgery, Liv is still cancer free.  Livs anniversary to ringing the bell is August 16, and this year we celebrate one year cancer free on this date.

I’m just thankful everyday I wake up and go to bed I still have her -Nikki Leigh
