We are walking to honor the memory of our youngest daughter, Abby, who lost her battle to osteosarcoma in 2019 at the age of 9.
She was a very energetic, funny, creative, loving, and caring young lady. Someone, whose humor and bravery made more of an impact on others in her 9 years than some make their entire lives.
Abby was often more concerned for the feelings of others than she was of her own. Always worried about how her friends and family were feeling and never wanting them to be sad. Despite what she was going through she was often the "light" in the room cheering everyone around her up.
To say she is missed simply doesn't do the sentiment justice.
While there is nothing that makes Abby's loss easier, we feel there is no better way to honor her memory than to remain engaged with the amazing team at Dana-Farber and the Jimmy Fund, giving back where we can and help other children who are suffering.
It would definitely make Abby smile to help others!
