I will be participating for the 26th time in the Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk.
To date, I have walked over 700 miles and I am not going to stop now! I have set my goal to raise $15,000 this year.
I know most of you have heard my story of why I walk; it is to give something back to Dana-Farber as a staff member, and in honor and memory of all of the patients, family and friends who have battled this terrible disease - there are so many, I can't begin to list them all.
I also walk now as a very fortunate cancer survivor.
I need to keep walking so that everyone who may have cancer can also have the chance to be a survivor. Unfortunately we are not there. We still have a long way to go to conquer this disease, which is why we walk and raise these important funds.
I could write endless stories about so many, but I won't - instead, I will walk along the 26.2 mile Boston Marathon Route, on Sunday, Sept.22, thinking of all who have passed away, those currently battling cancer, and, those who have conquered it.
Thanks to all who have sponsored me in the past and will in the future.
No donation is too big or small.
Thank you for supporting my participation.
Together, we can conquer cancer!
