Thanks for visiting my Jimmy Fund Walk page! This will be my 4th year participating in the Jimmy Fund Walk and I could not be more excited to walk this year because I started my own team! My team is called "Walking With A Purpose" because I feel like it is important to remember the ultimate purpose of this event; to raise money for cancer research and treatment as well as to honor and remember those that have battled or are currently fighting through cancer. Interested in being a part of this purposeful event? Join my team!
I am walking this year in memory of my two grandfathers, Mark Harris and Harry McKnight, who both battled courageously but ultimately lost their fights with cancer. I am also walking in honor of June McKnight, my grandmother, and Karen Liljegren, my aunt. Both of these women conquered cancer and received their treatment through Dana Farber.
I will be walking the 5k portion of the walk starting at Dana Farber and finishing in Copley.
When you make a gift to my walk, you’re directly supporting Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s unique 50-50 balance between cutting-edge science and highly compassionate cancer care. Your support allows Dana-Farber leaders to enhance programs and initiatives that serve pediatric and adult patients and their families.
Thank you for supporting my participation in the Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk. Together, we can conquer cancer!
