WHY I'M FUNDRAISING WITH THE JIMMY FUND WALK TO FIGHT CANCER

I am participating in the 2020 Boston Marathon(R) Jimmy Fund Walk: Your Way presented by Hyundai, taking steps toward the ultimate finish line: a world without cancer!

I was diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma on April 26, 2016 and within a week of my diagnosis I met with both my oncologist and surgeon at Dana Farber. Exactly one month to the day of my diagnosis, I had my mastectomy and then immediately started chemo. I received chemo infusions for 51 weeks. I'm here today, happy and healthy, because of the amazing people at Dana Farber. It's my home away from home. Please give to my walk, any amount is greatly appreciated. Your donation to this incredible institution will help people who are facing an unfathomable challenge like I did. I couldn't have gone through this without my amazing team at Dana Farber, my incredible community of friends, and most importantly my two loves in my life: Brian and Olivia.

When you make a gift to my walk, you're directly supporting Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's unique 50-50 balance between cutting-edge science and highly compassionate cancer care. Your support allows Dana-Farber leaders to enhance programs and initiatives that serve pediatric and adult patients and their families.

Thank you for supporting my participation in the Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk. Together, we can conquer cancer!

Much love and gratitude,
Diana
