I am participating in the 2020 Boston Marathon® Jimmy Fund Walk: Your Way,, taking steps toward the ultimate finish line: a world without cancer!
This is a big one for me! 2020 marks the FIVE year anniversary of my last chemo therapy treatment and my entry into remission!!! The five year mark is a critical milestone in all cancer journeys. But It highlights even more so, when you have gone through a clinical trial. Since my clinical trial was a single patient treatment protocol, I am the only one with Choriocarcinoma to have had these two medicines eradicate my cancer.
I made a promise to myself many years ago in 2013- that for the rest of my life, I will continue to give back in anyway that I could to the hospital that saved my life. If it were not for my team of doctors, nurse practitioner, Yawkey 10 nurses, and medical staff At the Brigham. I would not be here today. Really and truly!
So please join me, in helping the Dana Farber Cancer Institute continue to do what they do best! Providing top-notch medical care to their patients, funding the latest in cancer research, teaching the prevention of cancer and also helping them find a cure for all cancers.
When you make a gift to my walk, you’re directly supporting Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s unique 50-50 balance between cutting-edge science and highly compassionate cancer care. Your support allows Dana-Farber leaders to enhance programs and initiatives that serve pediatric and adult patients and their families.
Thank you for supporting my participation in the Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk. Together, we can conquer cancer!
