In 2018 I stepped through the doors at DFCI and was instantly enveloped in a world of care. Every step of my cancer journey, my team has been indefatigable in their efforts to find a cure, and are the most caring and compassionate caregivers one could imagine. After two surgeries, chemo, radiation, and a year of adjuvant chemo, I was just beginning to find my new 'normal'. In January of 2020, less than six months after my last infusion, I learned my cancer had metastasized in my liver and lungs, and my care team came together stronger and more determined to help me fight.
I am hopeful that raising funds to find a cure will give everyone a fighting chance - and one day, we may have a world without cancer.
I am participating in the 2020 Boston Marathon® Jimmy Fund Walk: Your Way, taking steps toward the ultimate finish line: a world without cancer!
When you make a gift to my walk, you’re directly supporting Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s unique 50-50 balance between cutting-edge science and highly compassionate cancer care (shout out to the best nurse ever Christine B, Dr. Block, Dr. Weiss, Jenna Macone, Dr. Erdmann Sager, and NP Brittany Hill for your endless compassion and care). Your support allows Dana-Farber leaders to enhance programs and initiatives that serve pediatric and adult patients and their families.
Thank you for supporting my participation in the Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk. Together, we can conquer cancer!
