WHY WE'RE FUNDRAISING WITH THE JIMMY FUND WALK TO FIGHT CANCER
Seven-year old, Emelie was diagnosed with Bilateral Wilms Tumors, a rare form of kidney cancer in August 2022.
The incredible medical team and support staff at Dana-Farber allowed Emelie to quickly jump into action and start her cancer journey. After many rounds of chemotherapy and a successful surgery, Emelie ended active treatment in late February 2023 and moved into maintenance! She still gets to enjoy the love and support of the people at Dana-Farber with visits for bloodwork, scans, monitoring and crafts.

Since day one, everyone at the Jimmy Fund clinic has wrapped their arms around Emme to provide her with the medical and emotional help she needed. They've become a second family to Emelie.
As a way to say thank you to all of the amazing people at Dana-Farber and to make sure that other families and children fighting pediatric cancer get the same treatment and support that Emelie received, she will be participating in the Jimmy Fund Walk this October.
