On Sunday, October 2nd, we will once again be doing the annual Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk to help raise money to cure cancer for the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. This will be our 16th year walking and our goal this year is to raise over $8,000 in the fight against cancer. We can only achieve this goal with the help of our family and friends.
After 2 years of a virtual walk, we will once again be traversing the famous Boston Marathon course on walk day!
As you all know, our dad/uncle/brother/poppa, William, underwent a bone marrow transplant for myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) at Dana Farber in 2012. We are so happy to say that dad is back to his usual healthy, crazy self! He is enjoying his time organizing and selling Legos, hanging with his brothers, and spending lots of time with his grandsons. We can’t thank Dana Farber enough for William beat his disease. However, we can help them raise money in their fight to end cancer. The amazing progress Dana-Farber has made in understanding and treating cancer is made possible by generous donations from people such as yourself.
I hope you will support our efforts by contributing to my Walk. With your gift, we will all be closer to the ultimate finish line: a world without cancer.
