This is my 11th year doing the walk. When I decided to participate in the Jimmy Fund Walk back in 2010 it was because I felt the need to do something for others. Since then I have lost both my parents to cancer, my sister in law was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and is currently in remission. My brother in law was diagnosed with Lymphoma and had a stem cell transplant from an anonymous donor. I have lost many people to this terrible disease, Aunts, Uncles, cousins and friends. I have become very involved in this walk and have raised over $2,500.00 each of the last 3 years alone. In 2019 Team Hope raised $18,325.00. Walk day has become one of my favorite days of the year. Through this organization I have met so many people, whether they were part of the walk staff, walkers or volunteers. I am truly proud of Team Hope and am looking to beat our total fundraising from last year. If you can donate any amount even $5 it will help towards our goal. I appreciate all of your support over the last eleven years.
When you make a gift to my walk, you’re directly supporting Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s unique 50-50 balance between cutting-edge science and highly compassionate cancer care. Your support allows Dana-Farber leaders to enhance programs and initiatives that serve pediatric and adult patients and their families.
Thank you for supporting my participation in the Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk. Together, we can conquer cancer!
