I am excited to participate in the 2020 virtual Jimmy Fund Walk in my sixth year with the amazing Young Adult Program (YAP) Walk team! Although this year will look different, I am still just as committed to fundraising and supporting YAP's mission. Over the past six years as the Program Manager for YAP at Dana-Farber, I have had the immense privilege of getting to know the incredible, resilient members of this community and witnessing the impact our program has on countless young adult patients & families during a time of extreme uncertainty. I will be walking in their honor and memory - every dollar raised by our team will go directly back to our program, supporting our mission of easing the emotional burden, recognizing unique needs and challenges, and providing services, programs, and opportunities for young adults (ages 18-40) diagnosed with cancer. Learn more about the Young Adult Program and the programs, services, and resources you will be supporting by donating to my Walk.
I will also be walking in memory of my father, who passed away a surreal 16 years ago after living with bladder cancer for over 10 years. I will forever admire his strength, poise, humble attitude, perseverance, and of course silly jokes, hilarious singing, and laughter! I miss him every day, but know he continues to be a presence in my and my family’s life.
Thank you for your generosity and support!
