I am participating in my 12th Boston Marathon® Jimmy Fund Walk, taking steps toward the ultimate finish line: a world without cancer!
Team Chickaroo is named for my daughter, Caroline, who was diagnosed with a PLGA tumor in 2007 when she was just 6 years old. She has been on some sort of chemotherapy for at least 8 of the last 10 years in addition to three surgeries and so much more. Since her diagnosis, Team Chickaroo has raised over $900,000 for the PLGA research program at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Though the Jimmy Fund Chickaroo Classic golf tournament and the Walk, we hope to reach $1M this year.
When you make a gift to my walk, you’re directly supporting Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s PLGA research program. Your support allows Dana-Farber leaders to make a difference for Caroline and so many other children.
Thank you for supporting my participation in the Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk. Together, we can conquer cancer!
