On October 1, 2023, I am participating in the 2023 Boston Marathon® Jimmy Fund Walk presented by Hyundai, my 6th Consecutive Jimmy Fund Walk...taking steps toward the ultimate finish line: a world without cancer.
My mother lost her two year battle to colon cancer when I was 14 years old...she was 47 years young. My youngest of four children turned 14 this past September. 14 is an age I will NEVER forget...and neither will my Jimmy Fund hero, Nick Gaspar, seen in photo above! Nick was diagnosed with a Teratoma tumor in his brain, both benign and malignant in his particular case in May 2021. . He has been fighting his battle with radiation, chemo, stem cell transplants...a craniotomy...and an unclean scan of his spine in March 2022. Nick is the strongest young man I know...and I will continue to be Nick Strong and Fight for a CURE for him and MANY others!
