When cancer touches you, you are forever changed. My journey with Dana Farber began with my brother, Richard Fox, and continued with my husband, Marshall. Both have been treated for tongue and throat cancer by the amazing health professionals in the Head and Neck Department at Dana Farber. My family is so grateful for the care they have received and continue to receive. I walk to honor these two special men. It is my way of giving back to Dana Farber for the incredible work they do.
I walk to honor many dear friends and extended family who continue their struggle as they fight this dreaded disease. I also walk for those we love who have lost the battle--way too many. All of them will all be in my heart and mind as I walk on September 23.
When you make a gift to my walk, you are directly supporting Dana Farber Cancer Institute's unique 50-50 balance between cutting-edge science and highly compassionate cancer care. Your support allows Dana Farber leaders to enhance programs and initiatives that serve pediatric and adult patients and their families.
I walk to give back. I know we must support the research and the science if we are to beat cancer.
Please help me by supporting my fundraising efforts. Together we can work for a cure and a brighter tomorrow!
