I have participated in the Jimmy Fund Walk for two year already with my friends. We all feel the same when it comes to cancer, that with more money provided more research can be done. I personally have been touched by cancer. Both my parents have had cancer, my mom had Colon Cancer and my dad had Leukemia in 2010. They were both able to fight their cancers and are cancer survivors. This year though my dad had gotten word that his leukemia had returned but he is fighting it with new medication. I know there needs to be more work done so that no one is able to get cancer. Cancer doesn't stop just because of a pandemic which is another reason I feel like I want to continue with giving to the Jimmy Fund this pandemic also poses a grave risk to all those currently fighting cancer as secondary infections are often deadly.
When you make a gift to my walk, you're directly supporting Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's unique 50-50 balance between cutting-edge science and highly compassionate cancer care. Your support allows Dana-Farber leaders to enhance programs and initiatives that serve pediatric and adult patients and their families.
Thank you for supporting my participation in the Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk. Together, we can conquer cancer!
