Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk-Together Against Cancer- 2022
Greetings to all! We hope this letter finds you all healthy as we are all still needing to be vigilant during the continued Covid-19 Pandemic. John and I are once again preparing to participate in the Jimmy Fund Walk, and this year, after a two-year hiatus, the official Boston Marathon route will be open! We haven’t yet decided which route we will walk. We may walk a portion of the distance around Framingham on a day of our choosing and the remainder of the distance on the official marathon route on the official Walk date of Sunday, October 2, 2022, allowing us to once again finish in Boston.
As we continue our quest in the fight against cancer, we appreciate your continued support. Cancer continues to affect the lives of so many people. Thankfully, cancer research teams are still working hard to create new treatment protocols and hopefully a cure for people with cancer. In addition, care teams continue to provide programs such as support groups, nutrition education, fitness classes, creative arts programs, and cancer survivorship programs, to support patients with cancer throughout their illness, treatment and recovery. Your donations to the Jimmy Fund and Dana Farber Cancer Institute help with all of the aforementioned goals.
At one time, a cancer diagnosis was more than likely a death sentence. Now more than ever there is hope for survival, as cancer is often now being detected in its earliest stages when treatments are more effective and offer a better chance for a cure. We continue to be thankful for the continued good health of the many we know who have been successfully treated for cancer. We also continue to pray for all who are currently undergoing cancer treatment, for those who have sadly lost their battles to cancer, and for all who must remain forever vigilant because of cancer. Each year as we participate in the Walk, we dedicate individual miles for you our family and friends, as well as your intentions…and as always, we walk with the hope that one day cancer will be a thing of the past.
Thank you very much for your continued support! We truly appreciate it!
Kim and John
