For these past two pandemic years, the Walk was Your Way, in everyone’s neighborhoods and local parks. And yes, I really did miss the challenge of those four Newton hills.
This year, for my 6th Walk, plans are to return to the historic Boston Marathon route. My goal is to once again step off in Hopkinton at the crack of dawn and cross the finish line in Copley Square later that afternoon, completing the full 26.2 miles. Once again, I am privileged to hang ribbons on the Honor Wall for friends and family, yours and mine, who are cancer thrivers and survivors, and in memory of those we have lost.
I have already begun training walks to prep for the Newton hills. Rest assured, my sherpa is always ready to drive, tote, chat, take photos, and find parking (mostly in legal spots!)
