On Sunday September 23rd I will be participating in the Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk, waking the entire 26.2 mile course of the Boston Marathon.
I am walking in memory of my dad, Bruce Ungar who lost his 10 year fight with Stage 4 Prostate Cancer 6-months ago. If you want to know what a fighter is, my dad was it. Through clinical trials, chemotherapy, radiation, constant medication adjustments and many other procedures, he always had a positive attitude. He will be the one getting me through this day. He will be right there with me.
I am joining my mom and sister (their 6th consecutive year participating), my wife and daughter (Bonnie being 2.5 couldn’t last that long in a stroller) as well as my brother in law, and other friends and family members. We are coming together to support this amazing cause and I couldn’t ask for a better support system.
Please consider supporting me and my teammates, THE BRU CREW as we trek these 26.2 miles to the finish line. Your contributions will go towards prolonging many more lives of those affected, as well as prolonging others. Thank you to those who have already donated to this worthy cause. I can’t wait to share photos from this special day, as I help the cause of finding a cure for this dreaded disease.
Thank you in advance and I love you all!!!
