Hi everyone! As some of you may know, my mom has been battling cancer for the past 3 years and is currently battling it for a 3rd time. She was first diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer in February 2016. She went through extensive chemotherapy and a surgery to remove most of her cancer. Unfortunately, she was rediagnosed in August 2017 and February 2019. While battling the first time, she was told that she would not make it alive past 6 months. Thanks to her incredible team of doctors at the Dana Farber she is still here and still fighting. From every doctor, receptionist, staff member, and even valet parking everyone at the Dana Farber has been incredible with my mom and my family. I will be walking the Jimmy Fund walk in honor of my mother and all those who are battling or who have lost the battle to cancer.
When you make a gift to my walk, you’re directly supporting Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s unique 50-50 balance between cutting-edge science and highly compassionate cancer care. Your support allows Dana-Farber leaders to enhance programs and initiatives that serve pediatric and adult patients and their families.
Thank you for supporting my participation in the Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk. Together, we can conquer cancer!
