I am walking in memory of my sister, Suzie, and many others who have lost their fight against this dreadful disease. They are the soldiers who fought hard and lost. I want to make sure they did not die in vain. They are the reason that I am fighting this battle.
This poem was sent to me by my dear friend which says it all. Thank you, Kathy
I do not walk for praise or fame,
I do not walk to hear my name,
I choose to walk, though I could stand,
I walk, quite simply, because I can.
I walk for those who have paid the price,
From loss of hair to loss of life,
I walk for those they've left behind,
And for the cure we"ll someday find.
