I'm so excited once again to be walking with Team Perini in this year's Jimmy Fund Walk. As many of you know, soon after my brother Dave, Jr. died at age 26 from Ewing's sarcoma, my parents Eileen and David Sr. formed a clinic in his memory. The Perini Clinic has since led the field of survivorship, first with the pediatric-focused David B. Perini, Jr. Quality of Life Clinic, and more recently through the Adult Survivorship Program. For more information, please visit www.dana-farber.org/PeriniCenter.
If he were alive, David would have turned 57 years old this year. That blows me away. I think often about how amazed and touched he would be at the support and love that has poured out over the years in his memory.
I am deeply grateful that you might consider supporting this world-class institution and the millions of cancer survivors who face the effects of this disease.
