I am participating in the 2018 Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk because I want to live in a world without cancer!
On Sunday, September 23rd, I will lace up my sneakers to walk along the famous Boston Marathon course. I have pledged to walk 26.2 miles and raise $5000.00 towards Lynch Syndrome Research.
Walking for cancer research means a lot to me personally. During a routine colonoscopy in March 2017, I was diagnosed with both Colon Cancer and Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. After genetic testing, I was found to have Lynch Syndrome, an inherited dominant genetic condition caused by mutations in genes that impair the DNA mismatch repair process which increases your risk of developing numerous cancers over your life time.
Research for rare disorder like Lynch Syndrome is critically underfunded. This year, funds received will also contribute towards developing a new Center for Lynch Syndrome at the Dana Farber Institute. Please help me make a difference by supporting my walk and Team Lynch Syndrome!
Any contribution would be most greatly appreciated. Donations are tax deductible and may be made on line at http;//jimmyfundwalk.org/goto/chantale_guy. Also check if your company does gift matching and use participant # 1005086
Together, we can conquer cancer!
