I am participating in the 2018 Boston Marathon® Jimmy Fund Walk presented by Hyundai, taking steps toward the ultimate finish line: a world without cancer!
I walk for many reasons. So many relatives and family friends have been affected by cancer. When my dad ran the Boston Marathon for Dana Farber he was partnered with a teenage boy named Nate Cavallo that had cancer. We became very close to him and his family, but about two years ago or so he passed away after his long fought battle. Another close family friend, Cleo Fredette, passed away from cancer a few years ago too. My grandfather was also diagnosed with cancer and is almost cancer free. As you can see cancer has affected my family in many ways. I hope to follow in the footsteps of my father in hopes that we can raise enough money to find a cure for cancer and eventually rid the world of that horrible disease.
When you make a gift to my walk, you’re directly supporting Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s unique 50-50 balance between cutting-edge science and highly compassionate cancer care. Your support allows Dana-Farber leaders to enhance programs and initiatives that serve pediatric and adult patients and their families.
Thank you for supporting my participation in the Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk. Together, we can conquer cancer!
ONE DAY THERE WILL BE A WORLD WITHOUT CANCER
