I am participating in the 2020 Boston Marathon® Jimmy Fund Walk presented by Hyundai, taking steps toward the ultimate finish line: a world without cancer!
This is me with my 6 year old grandson, Solomon. Solomon was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia last February. His cancer is presently in remission but the treatments have been really kicking his little butt. He spent the entire month of July in the hospital. Solomon has been a patient of UMass hospital in Worchester, MA, Dartmouth-Hitchcock Hospital in Hanover, NH, Boston Childrens Hospital, MA and today is with Dana-Farber. i cannot use enough superlatives to describe the care that my grandson has received.
There are really only three things I can do to help this little guy; be around to take care of his older sister, Freja while he is away, give blood every eight weeks (God bless you blood donors out there) and walk.
When you make a gift to my walk, you’re directly supporting Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s unique 50-50 balance between cutting-edge science and highly compassionate cancer care. Your support allows Dana-Farber leaders to enhance programs and initiatives that serve pediatric and adult patients and their families.
Thank you for supporting my participation in the Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk. Together, we can conquer cancer!
