I am walking the entire marathon route this year to raise money for those who are affected by this terrible disease.
The strongest woman I know, my mum, was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer a couple years ago. She has shown me what true strength is and has inspired me to be better every day. Even with this stupid disease, she has made sure the family has stayed together. She has laughed through most of this process and rolled with the punches, no matter what was thrown at her. I am ready to take on this walk for the second year alongside her and the rest of my friends and family.
This past December I lost my buddy, PJ. I met him my freshman year of college when I went to visit my brother, Andrew, at UML. I am so happy they got paired as roommates. PJ was so sweet from the beginning, making it seem as if we had known each other for years during our first conversation. During my many visits with PJ I learned what a truly amazing man he was. No matter what condition he was in, he ALWAYS made a point to ask how everyone else in the room was doing. He also made every single person in the room laugh without even trying. PJ has made my life a much brighter place, and for that I am so thankful.
I have decided to walk the entire marathon route this year because half just wasn't enough last year.
Let's Row The Boat!!!
