WHY I'M FUNDRAISING WITH THE JIMMY FUND WALK TO FIGHT CANCER

Cancer prevention research is critically underfunded. Please support Team Lynch Syndrome (formerly Team Sandi), returning to the Jimmy Fund walk for the sixth year in a row. Since 2013, the team has raised over $100,000 for cancer prevention research and patient education programs!

Our team was founded by Sharon Goyette to honor her mother Sandi Braune, a patient of mine who passed away from cancer in 2003 shortly after discovering she had Lynch syndrome.  Sharon is an example of what one person's vision can accomplish. She, like many of my patients, inspire me every day and I am forever grateful to them.

Our team is made up of previvors (individuals who have not had cancer but do carry a cancer predisposing gene mutation), cancer survivors, non-carrier relatives, friends, and Dana-Farber staff.
