I'm participating in the 2018 Boston Marathon® Jimmy Fund Walk in hopes that neuro-oncologists at Dana-Farber will find a cure for brain cancer.
Kai Lam, a beloved member of my family, has grade 3 anaplastic astrocytoma. He had surgery to remove a large tumor, and he went through chemo and radiation treatment afterward.
Unfortunately, his type of brain cancer is not curable.
In the past year, researchers have found promising and innovative treatments with CRISPR, immunotherapy , even irradiating dogs. However, funding is scarce and brain cancer continues to be an elusive adversary.
When you make a gift to my walk, you’re directly supporting Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s unique 50-50 balance between cutting-edge science and highly compassionate cancer care.
Thank you for your support. Together, we can conquer cancer!
