Hello family & friends
I truly hope that during this pandemic that life finds you and your family happy and healthy. It’s a tough time for everyone and everything is so affected including the Jimmy Fund Walk and because of COVID-19 the walk will be not take place on the Marathon route in Boston this year.
This pandemic will not stop me and I will be walking the 13.1 mile loop in my home town on Sunday, October 4th and I’ll walk my way. 😉
I am participating in the 2020 Boston Marathon® Jimmy Fund Walk my way by taking steps toward the ultimate finish line: a world without cancer! Team Toss Out Cancer did not have the big fundraiser that we usually have because of COVID-19. This walk is especially important to me this year because Cancer has invaded our space and one of our team members has been diagnosed with cancer. She is currently in cancer treatment. This disease is evil and we need to help fund ways to Fund the science side as well as compassionate patient care. I’ve been blessed with immunotherapy treatment and today (creating this page) I celebrate my 59th birthday because of the treatment I receive at the Dana Farber. Of course this makes me happy, and at the same time makes me sad because of my team member and my friend. 🙏🏼 Plus, between you and me I’m sick of loosing friends and family that should still be with us today. So, more work needs to be done!!! Please help by making a donation.
When you make a gift to my fundraising page, Or the Team’s fundraising page you’re directly supporting Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s unique 50-50 balance between cutting-edge science and highly compassionate cancer care. Your support allows Dana-Farber leaders to enhance programs and initiatives that serve pediatric and adult patients and their families.
Thank you for supporting me in the Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk.
Together, we can conquer cancer!
I love you and thanks for supporting me. Stay safe and social distance. :)
