On Sunday, October 4, 2020, I will be participating in my sixth Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk in support of my niece Lillian Becker! Once again, this year, Lillian will be walking 3.1 miles with me. I am walking because I want to help my 12 year old niece, Lillian, and other sick children like her in their fight against cancer. Lillian was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) on December 24th, 2009 just two months after she turned 3 years old. She went through two long years of chemotherapy which included 2 weeks of radiation. She has had many battles and even though she beat cancer she still does fight against the side effects it left her with.
When you make a gift to my walk, you’re directly supporting Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s unique 50-50 balance between cutting-edge science and highly compassionate cancer care. Your support allows Dana-Farber leaders to enhance programs and initiatives that serve pediatric and adult patients and their families.
Thank you for supporting my participation in the Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk. Together, we can conquer cancer!
