I'm proud to be participating in the 2018 Boston Marathon® Jimmy Fund Walk, taking steps toward the ultimate finish line: a world without cancer!
All of us know all too many people who have suffered from the disease, like my mother who died from it in 1996 (at the ripe age of 85) and many others who either succumbed to it at a much earlier age or who successfully fought it and are enjoying good health. We have to hope that the monies going to research and treatment will finally bring about cures that will be lasting.
Know also that I'm attempting to walk the entire marathon route (at my own ripe age of 74) for the challenge it presents and as a testament to community spirit, to inclusiveness, and to doing good at a time when we all could use some positive vibes!
