I once again unashamedly ask for your support to raise funds for the life saving mission of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. The greatest gift we can give is of ourselves, our time, our compassion, and our resources.
We have all been devasted in some way from a cancer diagnosis. Our stories are painful, and filled with raw vulnarability. The inability to help a loved one and change their outcome is indeed gut wrenching.
Our family lost our beloved Peter, a father, son, brother and husband- and most of all- a truly exception human being to germ cell cancer 15 years ago. The pain of his loss and that experience cuts deep 15 years later.
We walk in his memory. He was a fighter, he believed in the underdog and provided support to those in need, without hesitation and without question. We were a poor immigrant family and he believed we had an obligation to give back for the opportunities we had been provided.
We keep his spirit alive and come together as Peter's Troop every year to walk and raise funds as our way of giving back.
Peter received treatment at Dana-Farber. The quality of care provided to him and to our entire family was truly inspiring. Dana-Farber provides expert, compassionate care to children and adults and is home to groundbreaking cancer discoveries. Since its founding in 1948, the Jimmy Fund has raised millions of dollars through thousands of community efforts to advance Dana-Farber’s mission.
Thank you for your support,
Peter and his Troop
