I think most of you all know my story by now but for those who don't I am a two time cancer survivor and thriver and currently a patient at Dana Farber. The research done at Dana Farber literally allowed my medical team to literally save my life after a Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia diagnosis 5 years ago and then last year a Stage 4 Hodgkin's Lymphoma diagnosis. I am currently in remission and feeling better than I have in a few years. The CLL unfortunately is not curable but there are many therapies available thanks in great part to research done at my hemo oncologist's lab at Dana Farber. She is the Director of the CLL clinic at Dana Farber and this year I am walking to raise funds for leukemia and lymphoma research at her lab! All of the money raised goes directly to patients and research at Dana Farber so you can be assured that your donation has a direct impact on my life and the lives of many others. Although I am in remission currently it is likely that I will need further treatment in the future. I'd love to be able to say that the next treatment will be curative but that research is very expensive.
You have all been so generous to me in the past both financially and emotionally and I wouldn't ask again if I didn't feel that this work is extremely important. Cancer has robbed me of a lot of things but it has also shown me how truly awesome people are. Thank you for considering a donation in any amount. Much love to you all!!
