My name is Lucas. I turned 8-years-old this summer. I'm doing the Jimmy Fund Walk this September with my brother, Teddy, and my friends because “I’m really sorry that people get cancer and I’m really going to help them this year.” This is very important to me because my Nana and cousin are both battling cancer.
This is my fourth year doing the Walk (and second year co-captaining the team). Here are a few things my brother and I want you to know about us:
- We love Pokémon and Beyblades
- We love American Nina Warrior
- We love to run super fast
- We love the Patriots, Red Sox, Celtics, and Ohio State
- We love school
Our walk team – Kids Fight C – is trying to raise $10,000! Every dollar we raise will go to support the Jimmy Fund Clinic’s Pediatric Activities Program, which provides programs and activities for kids and their families while they’re going through treatment. From parties to celebrate holidays and special days (like Super Hero Day), to daily arts and music therapy, to a Summer Festival at the Franklin Park Zoo, these activities help take kids’ (and parents’) minds off of their treatment for a little while and let them focus at least a few moments on just being kids!
Please consider making a gift to my page or Teddy's – or to our team's page. Thank you for helping us to reach our goal!
