WHY I'M FUNDRAISING WITH THE JIMMY FUND WALK TO FIGHT CANCER

My name is Lucas. I turned 9-years-old this summer. I'm doing the Jimmy Fund Walk this October to help kids have fun while they’re having treatment for cancer. This is my 5th year doing the Walk. Here are a few things I want you to know about me:

  • I like to play baseball – this year I’m on the Farm League and I’m a very good pitcher
  • I also like to play Pokémon and collect cards
  • My favorite teams are the Boston Celtics, the New England Patriots, Ohio State football, and the Boston Bruins

Every dollar my brother and I raise will go to support the Jimmy Fund Clinic’s Pediatric Activities Program, which provides programs and activities for kids and their families while they’re going through treatment. From parties to celebrate holidays and special days (like Super Hero Day), to daily arts and music therapy, to a Summer Festival at the Franklin Park Zoo, these activities help take kids’ (and parents’) minds off of their treatment for a little while and let them focus at least a few moments on just being kids!

Please consider making a gift to my page or to my brother, Teddy's, page. Thank you for helping us to reach our goal!
