I am participating in the 2020 Boston Marathon® Jimmy Fund Walk: Your Way presented by Hyundai, taking steps toward the ultimate finish line: a world without cancer!
Our cohort of Team EmmaBelle will be walking 5 miles on "the Loop" through Chatham, MA on Sunday, Oct 4. This walk has been important to me ever since I met young Emily Coughlin when she was 4, and going through very difficult treatments for neuroblastoma at Dana Farber. Emily is 13 now, and doing well, though I believe it is her extreme fighting spirit and all of our prayers that have carried her. However, we lost another Chatham child, Jesse Nash, to neuroblastoma just 18 months ago when he was only 6. This is serious, and its importance should not be obscured by the craziness of this year, 2020.
When you make a gift to my walk, you’re directly supporting Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s unique 50-50 balance between cutting-edge science and highly compassionate cancer care. Your support allows Dana-Farber leaders to enhance programs and initiatives that serve pediatric and adult patients and their families.
Thank you for supporting my participation in the Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk. Together, we can conquer cancer!
