On Sunday, Oct. 1, my husband and I will return in-person to the Boston Marathon® Jimmy Fund Walk. We aim to complete the full 26.2-mile marathon route and continue our efforts to raise funds for chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) and lymphoma research at Dana-Farber, where I am now in my 22nd year! My years of involvement in the Walk have left me with many wonderful memories of colleagues, friends, and patients coming together to raise money for our ongoing fight against cancer.
Our fundraising is every bit as essential this year, perhaps even more so, given the evolving landscape of CLL treatment. The breathtaking pace of recent improvements in CLL and lymphoma therapy is thanks in part to contributions from people like you over the years, for which I am deeply grateful.
General donations made in my honor support Dana-Farber broadly, but donations through my Jimmy Fund Walk page specifically support the research performed in my lab, which focuses on clinical research in CLL and lymphoma. Your support helps us continue to make the advances that we have seen over the last 10 years. Our mission is to continue our research until we have a cure for everyone with these diseases.
Any amount of support will be greatly appreciated. It’s easy to contribute to this important cause:
Online: Using this page.
By mail: Write a check payable to “Jimmy Fund Walk,” put my name and participant ID in the memo (“Dr. Jennifer Brown, 1014554”), and mail it to:

If you plan to participate in the Walk, please feel free to join our Tree of Life team, virtually or otherwise.
Cancer touches us all, and only through continued clinical and laboratory research can we achieve cures for these diseases. Every dollar brings us all closer to the ultimate finish line: a world without cancer. Thank you in advance for your generosity and support.
Sincerely yours,
Jennifer R. Brown, M.D., Ph.D.
