I am participating in the 2018 Boston Marathon® Jimmy Fund Walk presented by Hyundai, taking steps toward the ultimate finish line: a world without cancer!
My amazing older cousin Blaine was diagnosed earlier this summer with T cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia/lymphoma. He was just about to start business school and suddenly had to put the brakes on his plans. His cancer seemingly came out of nowhere. Blaine is 25 years old, healthy strong and an incredible person who we all love. He went to the doctors for a cough and then did not leave for 28 days. Once they saw the tumor he started intense treatment immediately. Blaine has the best attitude and is a fighter. I know he is going to win this battle but I also want him to know he is not alone. This is why I am walking in this year's Jimmy Fund Walk. I am walking in support for Blaine and everyone else out there fighting cancer! #teamblaine
When you make a gift to my walk, you’re directly supporting Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s unique 50-50 balance between cutting-edge science and highly compassionate cancer care. Your support allows Dana-Farber leaders to enhance programs and initiatives that serve pediatric and adult patients and their families.
Thank you for supporting my participation in the Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk and #teamblaine. Together, we can conquer cancer and help my cousin get back to living his life!
Gratefully, Charlie Davis
