It was 10 years ago that I completed a round of successful radiation therapy at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. September 23 will also mark my 11th Jimmy Fund Walk. I fund raise for this great hospital because of the wonderful treatment I received there from the amazing doctors, nurses, and staff, right on down to the parking attendants who greeted me every morning with a smile and helpful word. I learned that DFCI not only treats the patients medically, it treats the whole patient including his/her social and emotional needs. I fund raise for them so that others may receive the same incredible treatment that I did. I fund raise to honor the memory of dear family and friends who have lost their lives to this awful disease.
I humbly ask, yet again, for donations. Any amount, no matter what, will be deeply appreciated and put to great use as the researchers at DFCI work tirelessly to find a cure. Then, perhaps, all our sad stories can stop.
