It was 11 years ago that I completed a round of successful radiation therapy at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. September 22 will mark my 12th Jimmy Fund Walk. I fund raise for this great hospital because of the wonderful treatment I received there, from the amazing doctors, nurses, and staff, right on down to the parking attendants who greeted me every morning with a smile and helpful word. I learned that DFCI not only treats a patient medically, it treats the whole patient including his/her social and emotional needs.
This year, I am honored to be a part of Team Todd, in memory of Todd Schwartz, a courageous patient of Dana Farber who lost his fight at the age of 19. His mother, Janet, says that we walk because, “I absolutely believe that miracles can happen for others. Step by step.”
I now humbly ask, yet again, for a donation, no matter the amount. I ask for those who cannot ask for themselves.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
