Hello,
I will be participating in my 10th Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk on Sunday, October 4th. As many of you know I lost my beautiful wife and the boys their loving mother Suzie, to non-smoker lung cancer January 2014. Suzie was passionate about bringing awareness to lung cancer and especially non-smoker lung cancer. She also was very grateful for the care, research and support Dana Farber gave her during her fearless battle with this horrible disease.
In January, I was planning to participate in the 2020 Boston Marathon® Jimmy Fund Walk in Boston as usual with team Casey Street Gang. Then in March, the COVID 19 Pandemic changed our lives and we continue to try to navigate these incredibly challenging times. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic the walk in Boston has been canceled. The plan now is for all of us to plan our own walk that day (or other) and continue to raise much needed funds for DFCI.
This will be CASEY STREET 10th year walking as a team in memory of Suzie. She continues to walk beside us and provide inspiration every day. Our fundraising efforts, help support research, cutting-edge science in the hope to find a cure.
Although we may be apart, and the walk may be different on Sunday, October 4, 2020, CANCER DOESN'T STOP , and neither will we!!
In the past ten years, CASEY STREET GANG has raised over $100,000 for the Jimmy Fund Walk. Our goal for 2020 is to raise $10,000 ...please help us reach our goal and continue our fight to conquer cancer!
I invite you to become a member of our team, Casey Street Gang (Suzie’s childhood street) , and join us in supporting the groundbreaking cancer research and excellent patient care taking place at Dana-Farber every day...
JOIN OR SUPPORT THE CASEY STREET GANG – IN MEMORY OF SUZIE and all that have been affected by cancer.
