Any funds you contribute on my page will go directly to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, where the money will be primarily earmarked for use in research and treatment for Neuroblastoma, a terrible form of cancer that afflicts very young children.
Liz and I will be walking in honor of our friend Emily, who contracted NB when she was four years old. Thanks to experimental work done by Dana-Farber, the care and love of her doctors there, and the mind-boggling dedication of her parents, Emily is now 14 and leading our team in this walk. Her sister, Isabelle, was her rock through the incredibly painful and drawn out treatments; hence the team name: EmmaBelle.
Thank you for supporting my participation in the Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk. Together, we can conquer this dreadful disease. Beat NB!
