Thanks to the incredible work done at Dana Farber, I am currently enrolled in a clinical trial that has allowed me to live a good quality of life and that has been successful in keeping my metastatic Lung Cancer in check. I am so lucky to feel well enough to once again take part in the Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund walk, this will be my 11th. My team name is "Hail Mary's" because as you may know, hundreds of people set their alarms for 5PM each night and say a prayer for anyone and everyone suffering from this terrible disease.
Many of you supported my walk very generously last year, and I ask that you consider donating again. If you are unable, I humbly ask for your prayers....not just for me, but for the thousands of people who are also treated at Dana Farber, as well as the doctors and researchers that work hard to treat our illness.
Cancer has changed my life in so many ways....many of the changes I would never have chosen, but there are some changes that have been incredible life lessons.....Life really is too short. We should make the most of the time we are given. There are SO many good people in this world. One person can make a big difference. - (just to name a few)
When you make a gift to my walk, you’re directly supporting Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s unique 50-50 balance between cutting-edge science and highly compassionate cancer care. Your support allows Dana-Farber leaders to enhance programs and initiatives that serve pediatric and adult patients, like me and my family.
Thank you for supporting my participation in the Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk. Together, we can conquer cancer!
Thank you so much in advance.
