Once again, I will be walking 13.1 miles in the Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk on September 23rd, 2018.
As I walk this year, I will keep close friends and family who are fighting this terrible disease or have lost their fight, close to my heart. There are so many families affected and that is the reason we need to continue to support the Dana Farber Cancer Institute in finding a cure for cancer.
I was diagnosed 27 years ago and am thankful to have been so close to such great hospitals and doctors. I continue to have long term side effects, but this is nothing compared to the battle that people are fighting every day and I will continue to help in the fight against cancer as long as I can.
My mom is recovering from a series of falls over the past nine months and will be a virtual walker this year. Virtual walkers are those who cannot attend walk day, but still want to help! She is now 12 years out from her diagnosis of breast cancer and aside from having trouble staying on her feet, she has been doing well! (I love you Mom!!)
We have raised over $80,000 together
in all of the years we have been walking!!
Without you, this would never have been possible!
Please join us in the fight against cancer by making a donation to support critical cancer research and innovative cancer care at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
Cancer touches all of us. I am doing my part to help conquer this disease and, with your help, we can move closer to the ultimate finish line: a world without cancer.
Thank you in advance for your generosity and continued support!
